Trip to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

Program for Adults

 

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge is a 171-acre non-profit wildlife refuge on the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands. Cedar Run includes the Woodford Nature Center, a Wildlife Housing Area with more than 50 native residents, and a Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital that sees more than 7,000 wild animals each year. Join us for a tour of the Wildlife Housing Area, a short hike focusing on the Pine Barrens, and an Animal Meet and Greet. Then, we’ll stay for lunch and explore the gift shop.

Notes:
  • Participants will meet at Briar Bush at 8:30am, then travel in the Briar Bush van to Cedar Run.
  • Be sure to pack a camera, binoculars, and lunch.
  • This program is rain or shine and entirely outdoors (a covered pavilion will be used as a meeting point and lunch spot), so prepare for the weather. You will be contacted in the case of cancellation due to extreme weather.
  • The total hike distance is about a half mile on a packed sand trail with roots and stair-like roots. There are handicapped accessible restrooms in the Nature Center, but not on the trail.
  • Registration closes 10/7/25 at 12:00pm.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel the program 15 days or more before its start date, you will receive an 80% refund (20% service fee). No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the program start date. To cancel, email Melissa Eldridge at melissa@briarbush.org.
