What is a Weed?
Program for Adults

When an unexpected plant pops up in your garden, how do you know if it’s a weed or not? A plant that one person calls a weed another person actually encourages in their garden! Learn to identify some of the most common “weeds” found in our area and why you may want to reconsider yanking (or protecting!) them. We’ll also take a short hike on the trails to find some of the featured species.

Date: Saturday, March 22, 2025

Time: 10:30am-11:30am

Cost:

  • $10.00/participant
  • Abington Resident: $9.00/participant
  • FOBB Member: $8.00/participant
Notes:
  • This program will take place indoors and outdoors.

  • The indoor portion will take place in the Museum's indoor, second-floor program space. This space is accessible only by stairs.

  • Participants will hike the full main trail loop at Briar Bush. The trails are uneven and covered with woodchips.

  • Please dress for the weather.
